I have had this lantern for a few months now. I have used this more than I thought I would initially. It's been more handy than having a flashlight. If you are expecting a lantern to light up the sky, you might want to look for a larger lantern. Having said that, this lantern gives off a nice bright light. It isn't an amber light, but it's not a harsh blue light either.
The lantern itself is well constructed. The bottom unscrews and screws on very easily. The threads are easily aligned with the rod in the battery compartment (see the video review). It is well constructed too. It won't break if you accidentally drop it( there are rubber coatings on the bottom and top). So far, I am very pleased with this lantern. I hope my review helps!
