REVIEW:I've used predominately Hoppes and Rem Oil for cleaning my firearms in the past. I like both but prefer the Hoppes over the Rem Oil if I had to choose. I saw the Grizzly lubricant and noticed that it was non-toxic, a concern I've always had with the other options on the market. It intrigued me, so I figured I would give it a shot.

This lubricant does a good job of cleaning the barrel and other parts. Just to be clear, the lubricant and grease are essentially the same thing. The only difference is the consistency: the lube is a liquid and the grease is the consistency of butter. Each has their own application, but I mostly use the lube for cleaning the barrel. The scent is a somewhat strong wintergreen smell. It wasn't a foul smell to me by any means.

The brush and the microfiber cloth are what you likely expect. They get the job done. There's not much else to note regarding those. The skins are quite large. I personally use them a couple times and store them. Others might use them once or more often than I do depending on their particular use. The case itself is nice to be able to place everything in. I'm not sure at this point how long the latch to close the case will hold up long-term, but it still works fine for me at this point. I am not expecting it to be a heirloom or anything, so it's not a big deal if one day it does fail.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this kit as a whole!

Is it like frog lube or seal 1 where you need to heat up the metal first?

You don't necessarily have to heat up the barrel, though you don't want to have a cold barrel. A warm barrel helps, but isn't a must. Room temperature or above works.
