MosquitoStation Natural Mosquito Repellent Bracelets + 6 Repellent Patches

Available for sale by clicking here

BACKGROUND/REASON FOR ORDERING THESE:
I am a biting insect magnet. It doesn't matter where I am outdoors, I will get bitten no doubt. I have used about every product there is from 1) Gamehide Elimitick Cover Up Tick Pants, Realtree Xtra, X-Large to 2) Sawyer Products SP649 Premium Permethrin Clothing Insect Repellent Trigger Spray, 12-Ounce (Spray Bottle Color May Vary) to 3) Cutter Backwoods Dry Insect Repellent (Aerosol) (HG-96248). Each one of those options works, but they have their drawbacks (just like these bracelets). I'd be willing to answer questions about any of those products in the section below, but I want to focus my review now on the bracelets in this listing.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
5 bracelets and 6 patches

MY USES THUS FAR:
I have used this while mowing 50 acres of clover, CRP grasses and fescue grasses. I have also used the bracelet while cutting in my back yard. I typically get a handful of bug bites in my back yard each time I cut (my backyard adjoins a patch of woods). Last time I mowed at my farm, I received somewhere between 50 and 75 bug bites. I was awake for the better part of 3 nights scratching them all night! It was miserable!

REVIEW:
After using these for several days in "hostile" conditions where I've had spiders, mosquitoes and ticks fly in my hair, face and arms (and sometimes my mouth), I have no doubt that these work. I was hopeful they'd work when I ordered them, but I then began doubting that they'd work. See, when I ordered these, I didn't really think about how the wind might play a factor while riding on a tractor. Bugs are constantly being dumped on me. I began thinking that the breeze while riding the tractor would blow away the smell of the bracelet and render it essentially useless for stopping bug bites. After all, the bugs have to smell the citronella to be scared away, right?

Well surprisingly, it did work. I don't really know why or how, but it worked. I didn't have any bug bites after mowing for about 8 hours! I did get quite a sunburn though. I can't say how pleased I am with the bracelets. I don't know how they might work for others, but I'd say I put it through quite a test and came away impressed.

ANY DOWNSIDES?
There's only two things I want to note here. First, I wish these bracelets had the holes notched out already. It's not a major issue, but it would be more convenient to putting them on your wrist (or your child's wrist) if they holes were there. Second (and you're probably already aware), these bracelets last 5-7 days worth of use. I don't really know a good way to track the amount of time you've used it. Maybe you have some suggestions for me :).

SOME TIPS (POTENTIALLY):
I was thinking while using this...I wonder if a person could buy a bottle of citronella essential oils (and maybe some Lemongrass essential oil) and apply it to the bracelet. As long as the bracelet holds up to wear and tear, I would think it would stop bugs. That's just an idea though. I haven't tested how effective it might be. It stands to reason that it'd work though given the ingredients in these bracelets.

CONCLUSION:
BUY THESE (OR SIMILAR) MOSQUITO BRACELETS!!!
