Luxury Scent Box ("LSB") is an online fragrance retailer. It's a simple (but really nice) business concept. First, you visit their website Luxury Scent Box. You complete a very short (2 minutes tops) questionnaire created by certified fragrance specialists. Upon completion, you will be provided with several recommendations of fragrances you may wish to try. You can read a brief profile about each recommendation before you make your selection.

Acerich Egg Slicer

In short, this is a cheap, thin and low quality egg slicer (see the video or pictures that follow). It's so thin, that it arrived somewhat bent despite a good packing job. The frame was bent back to it's original position, so the wire slicers would fit in the grooves. However, it doesn't take long for the frame to bend again. That means the wires hit the ledge. It takes some coaxing to get all the wires full depressed. I can't recommend this product unless you are looking for a cheap, temporary egg slicer (because everyone needs one of those, right?)

I picked the Champagne Apple and Mimosa fragrances. Each smells really good. I would described the scent as light to medium in strength.

Painting Bedroom Furniture - Chalk Paint vs Paint & Primer

I didn't take very good "before" pictures of the furniture I painted. This is the only one I have of the dresser. I also painted a night stand and a a 3-tier basket basket holder (pictures to follow).

My wife wanted to paint all of the bedroom furniture white, the walls gray and accent in light pink and/or white. She wanted to follow the same color theme as our wedding, gray and light pink. During the time of the painting, she was pregnant, so of course we were concerned about her painting.

CANCER SUCKS

I wanted to write about something personal. This year several friends and a neighbor have been diagnosed with cancer; two of those diagnosed are in the same family. Tonight, I want to focus on one in particular though. My neighbor was diagnosed with melanoma cancer in the lymph nodes over a year ago.

The doctors said the cancer is early enough that they don't want to do chemo treatments, but advanced enough that  they were't sure if alternatives would work. She started treatments, some sort of chemo shot, over a year ago. A couple months into the treatment, the nurses finally realized that they were giving her near toxic levels of the shot. She would feel extremely sick after taking them for 2 days following. They also didn't give her anything to cope with the pain of over-medication. If she would have cut herself, she very well could have bled to death from something as small as a paper cut. Needless to say, there were issues with the recommended treatments. Through all this, she somehow maintained a full-time job.

The instrument reads from 0 to 60 PSI. The gauge itself is coated in rubber to protect it from drops. The chuck that is inserted into the stem valve of the tire is double-sided. This makes it easier to use in tight conditions. The hose that connects the two is a thick rubber. I presume it will last a long time. It also comes with 4 tire valve stem caps and a tread checker.

HOW TO INSTALL (BRIEFLY) FOR CABINETS THAT OVERLAY THE FRAME (LIKE MINE IN THE VIDEO):
1. Clean the surfaces where you will attach the latch and lock (isopropyl alcohol is what I used)
- This step is important for the adhesive to get a solid grip
2. Peel the sticker and install the latch with the front on the edge of the frame

WHY I WANTED A TUMBLER:
I lost one of my coffee mugs, so I was looking for a replacement. I know a tumbler is a little different in some respects to a coffee mug, but the concept is the same. I thought this would fit the bill to keep my coffee warm and my other drinks cold. One of the issues with my Contigo Autoseal West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Easy Clean Lid, 16-Ounce, Monaco was that it is difficult to clean. However, it does do a nice job of keeping drinks warm or cold, respectively.
