It's made of polyurethane (PU) leather. PU leather isn't genuine leather, but it is durable, stain resistant and cost effective with no odor. I can fit 25 of the paper business cards or about 10 thick business cards. If you are going to a conference or the like where you are handing out large numbers of cards, then you might seek a larger card holder. However, for everyday use this is an ideal size that you can throw in your pocket.
